icometrix NV

icometrix is a fast growing innovative company offering software as a service for medical image analysis to neurologists, radiologists and scientists all over the world. The headquarters are based in Leuven, Belgium, with a second office in Boston, US. icometrix was founded in 2011 to address the need of bringing research tools for quantitative image analysis towards clinical practice and relies on many years of extensive clinical and research experience at the Imaging Group and the Department of Radiology in the Medical Imaging Research Center at the University Hospital Leuven (Belgium) and the image processing group and department of radiology of the University Hospital Antwerp (Belgium).

icometrix focuses on the development of highly accurate and reproducible brain imaging biomarkers for central nervous system disorders. In this context, we take care of the challenges related to the low measurement error needed for the individual patient analysis and dealing with clinical reality. As such icometrix succeeded in bringing MRI measures for brain atrophy and lesion load in daily clinical practice for patients with Multiple Sclerosis (CE approved, FDA certified). Moreover, icometrix offers its services for clinical trials and research studies, as low measurement errors and high accuracy are just as desirable in group studies to increase statistical power.
